Ability and Talent: Dream Seer
Caro is rather statuesque with dark hair and eyes, her hair curls around her shoulders or it hangs long and down her back. She's definitely got a scowl on her and she's got a quiet determination about her. Even with her dreams she tries to live a normal life.
She always walks with purpose, and she's very stern when she needs to be. Her chin held high, she likes to wear heels when she's at work. Looking very much like a professional secretary when she's working. She manages to blow people off when she needs too.
She's a stern, serious woman and very secretive. Her smiles are rare and yet they show her dimples when she's trying to hide a smile or a chuckle. Her face can be serious-- and very stern but can light up the next moment with a laugh or a chuckle.
She's quiet, and doesn't like to open up. Mostly because if she did it may hurt someone she cares about. She's very guarded but hides that behind a very friendly facade. She smiles and laughs, makes jokes with the cops at the office and even pretends to be this high spirited girl. When in fact she's nervous and overly paranoid. She double and triple checks the locks at home before she goes to sleep.
No one really knows the where abouts of Caro's blood parents. She was abandoned at the hospital as an infant, before she was adopted by Claudia and Sam Walker. They lived in Chitown when she was little, her elder brother was long out of the house when she was growing up making her almost an only child. When she was little she found happiness in just playing around, she was a creative little girl and a talented artist. But her parents began to worry about her-- dreams.
They were frightening and vivid, she would wake up screaming. More often than not they were violent and she would cling to her parents, they would tell her to go back to sleep it was only a dream. But she insisted that it was more than that-- there were creatures in the dark that were feeding. She could feel them, and it scared her. But her parents insisted that she was only dreaming and she would go back to sleep.
It wasn't until she began to dream of things that turned up on the news the next day that had her parents beginning to think there may be more to their daughters dreams. But they discovered that to late.
One night after another dream, while she was sitting on the back stoop with her mom some men came and pointed at her. Shouting she was to be theirs-- a dream seer. Her step mother cuddled her up and ran, there was a loud sound as the windows were blown away by an unknown force. Her mother shoved her in a closte and told her to be still as she turned away.
The loud sounds that followed she could not describe, but they were sickening and frightened her enough to where she was curled around her knees. When the door opened there was a woman there, her hands were cold when she touched her face and she gave her a smile.
Asking her if she was alright and giving her cheeks a soft pat before she said sit tight, don't make a sound, don't listen and don't peak. She didn't, her hands pressed to hear ears as she sang to herself rocking back and forth not to listen to anything else. She was only eight years old.
When the woman returned she picked her up and said she was going to take her somewhere safe. They drove through the night and then slept in a darkened room in the morning. After that she was with her brother in Boston. There she was passed over and the woman-- she didn't know who she was and was sure she would never see her again.
With her brother he sat her down and talked to her about what had happened. Told her they needed to pay attention to her dreams and they would need to keep moving. She didn't really understand but she nodded and they did so.
They moved jobs, until they ended up in Mercy where her brother got the Sheriff job. He said it was probably the safest place they could be. For a time.
