Logan stood out on the street, staring down at his phone. He didn't appear to be typing anything into the keypad but he was writing a lengthy e-mail to his brother berating him for his sudden decision to go off on a trip leaving Logan there all on his own. The words just appeared on the screen. The e-mail appeared to be writing itself but really it was all Logan and his odd ability. He could have easily typed it but he liked using his strange talent. It was like practice and sometimes he would push himself to see how far it would go, in fact he did that quite often but never in front of other people, except his brother who knew all about it and even had odd talents of his own.
He had just exited the theater after a particularly interesting movie. It was like a cross between Twilight and Jennifer's Body. Creepy, hot and slightly lame in some parts. It was funny though, how many different varieties of vampire you'd find in movies these days. It was almost like they had to make them all different for fear of getting sued for copyright infringement or something.
Either way, the addition of hot actresses totally salvage the wreak it would otherwise have been. Those vampires weren't too bad though. Pointy teeth, growling, snarling, over all dangerous and slightly reckless with that lack of a consciousness. It was everything you'd expect from a horror movie.
Of course, vampires weren't real at all. Logan wasn't sparkle obsessed 15 year old girl, he knew better than that. He knew the facts and it was that vampires and other monster type creatures just weren't real, because if they were then there'd be a hell of a lot more dead bodies and proof of their existence. Course his own ability to connect with machines was an exception and he didn't think that made him any less human, it was just a talent he had, and it didn't matter that he couldn't explain it. It was still totally normal as far as he was concerned.
Putting his phone away, he crossed the street to get to his old heap of a car. It shouldn't still be running but Logan made it work. He was no car guy but he had an understanding how an engine worked and being able to make it keep running by touching it was a bonus. Getting in he started the engine but rolled it eyes when it failed to start. He got out and popped the hood and was about to work his magic when he heard footsteps. He couldn't do his thing if there was a chance that someone might see so instead he just stood there staring at it like an idiot which was probably not much better.
