None of the others in the pack, especially not her mother, understood Alina's love for her coffee shop. Humans wondered in here and there along with some of the pack themselves. The lycans were way to nosy, if anyone asked Alina, and kept nudging her to choose a mate. After all, at over one-hundred and fifty years of life, Alina "needed a strong, handsome, male lycan to look after her". Each of them was hinting towards the oldest and, in Alina's opinion, the most annoying Westbrook pup. The blonde wolf could handle Silas Westbrook, the middle pup, to an extent. Get him away from his brother and he acted halfway normal, especially around Artemis. No one in the pack could deny how much Silas loved his little sister. Artemis, though, was not hard to like and one good thing about having her around was that the pack bothered Alina less and less about finding a mate. Of course, whenever they saw her they would hint, but the deliberate entering of her shop to bother her about it was slowing down. The slow down made the blond very happy. She hated disappointing the pack with her love life, but she just couldn't risk being like her mother. Her mother had mated with someone who wasn't her true mate. Alina knew she could not handle the abandonment, thus, to the blond, love meant nothing. That is, at least, what she tried convinced herself of everyday.
Alina smiled as the last bit of her customers whispered among themselves. No one seemed to notice anything off with the owner of the coffee shop. Then again, no one ever noticed anything off about the blonde girl. She seemed a rather normal looking woman. Clearing off one of the round tables, Alina carried the cups to the back, dumping them into the sink to be cleaned by the dishwasher. Andros, the pack leader, had been Alina's stanch supporter for her coffee shop. Ever since Alina's biological father had left her and her mother, Andros had taken it upon himself to play the part. That might have occurred though, due to the fact that Alina would not leave him alone. Little Alina had taken an instant liking in the pack leader more than any of the other males. Everyone in the pack knows that Alina's loyalties lie solely with him. Even Alexander's, the pack alpha-female's, orders are second in contrast with Andros', something that ticks Alexander off greatly. Andros' influence, though, keeps Alina pretty much a safe distance from Alexander.
Alina moved slowly around the coffee shop, picking up any stray cups and plates. Andros had been in earlier, just checking up on her like always did. If he didn't, Alina may never check in with anyone from the pack save for maybe Silas once in awhile. The sink was halfway full of dishes and the dishwasher's head bobbed with the music. Alina literally knocked on his head and pointed at the dishes. He nodded and Alina gave him a thumbs up, a warm smile spread out on her face. For the most part, no one disliked the blonde lycan. Her personality was too warm and too free-spirited for such a thing. Maybe that was why the pack took such a great deal of interest in her. Alina could get away with just about anything with her smile and her laugh. Unfortunately, the blond wolf did not exactly have the spite to do such a thing. No, Alina would leave that horrible trait to Alexander herself and she would just keep her pretty little child-like innocence and sass. The front door of the shop opened up and the blond quickly ran to the front to man the cash register.

Jobs seemed to be a touch slim at the moment for Abram, cars seemed to be in working order and nothing was exactly under construction. Not that Abram couldn't create work for himself but he figured it was best to hold off a bit and he didn't quite want to commit to the movie that was being produced though he did have an in and things did look promising for when filming actually started considering his mechanical skills. Set building would put to work his construction skills but he wasn't quite ready to resort to that just yet either, he wanted to get a feel for the town learn about it understand it a bit better. There were certain things of interest going around in town and Abram wanted to know more.
Of course walking around like he had been doing necessitated the need for some coffee, he was hitting a bit of a slump and a good cup of joe seemed just the thing he needed. He probably could have gotten something cheaper at a convenience store or the near by gas station but that was cheap coffee that was nothing more than a quick pick me up. Abram wanted something a little bit better tasting than practically burnt coffee. He wasn't a fancy man prone to order machiatos and expressos or what ever they were he wasn't into caramel or chocolate in his coffee either he just wanted straight coffee something that tasted good and did the job.
"What kind of coffee you got here?" asked Abram a bit gruffly of the girl at the register as he peered over her head at the menu that was filled with various mixed and weird things which he wasn't interested in. Did these places stop serving just plain old coffee? If they did he was going to be sorely disappointed and upset by the fact. He didn't want to have walk further just to get what he wanted. Why couldn't they just list plain old coffee? Was he just blind and not seeing it amongst the other listed things?
