Her smirk widened into a grin at his words, "No, you don't seem like a cat person.
" Especially if he was what she thought he was. It seemed that her suspicions were right and she wasn't sure if that was exactly a good thing. She was friends with several vampires but she'd never socialized with lycans. He didn't seem as though he meant her any harm so she decided to stay and continue the conversation. Devan glanced around but kept her attention completely focused on Cris. She may be completely harmless, but considering she just met the man it wasn't safe to assume that. She nodded her head at his comment, " Yes, I suppose I am as well." Devan knew her voice wasn't completely friendly like it'd been a few moments ago but she was relaxing her guard a little bit with each word she said. Honestly, Devan was at a loss for words and gave him a small shrug when he asked what they should talk about. It did pique her curiosity though when he brought up talking about history. She wondered how old he was, he didn't appear to be much older then her but she knew looks could be deceiving. " Whatever you wish to discuss is fine with me." Although she wanted to ask his age, she wouldn't. She may be curious but she rarely acted on curiosity such as that. Her manners were far to precious to her for her to go completely against them like that. Devan contemplated this while she glanced around the park. So many people had gathered here for this event, it was kind of surprising to her that so many showed up. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

AS THE WORLD SPINS AND DANCES IN MY HANDS LIFES A BEACH IM JUST PLAYING IN THE SAND
He smiled a little, allowing her to have her assumptions and her own interpretation of his comment. His aversion to cats was not a terribly big part of him, at least he didn't think so but then when you got to be over five centuries old, you tended to find you had a lot about yourself that you could tell someone and still it was hard to list them all when you had to.
"Alright," Crispin said, looking down at the ground in thought for a moment as he attempted to find a particular topic for them to discuss. She seemed to be letting her guard down a bit and while Crispin was already comfortable with things, he was happy for her to take her time. He had shown her that he was no threat and now the rest was up to her. He didn't want to push her into beliving it because that would just defeat the purpose and perhaps cause more distrust and he didn't want that, especially since she seemed nice.
He still wasn't sure what she was but he was happy with the knowledge that she was definitely not a vampire. He knew of humans with gifts but she seemed like she was a little.. More than that. He suspected elemental but he wouldn't ask her until he felt comfortable enough with where the conversation was.
"You might need to help me narrow it down," he explained, "Anything from the 16th century to the present would be fine with me," he told her. It wasn't much of an indication of what his age might be but it was as good a start as any in his opinion. If she wanted to know anymore about what he was, or how old he was, or what he had done in his past then all she needed to do was ask but finding the right question wasn't exactly easy in this case.
NOW, IF YOU DID NOT NOTICE, MIRA MADE THIS, AND YOU BETTER NOT STEAL IT.. OR SHE WILL BEATCHUU & YOUR ASS TO F*CKING MARS.

Devan tilted her head thoughtfully to the side when he asked her to narrow it down. She couldn't help wondering if he was hinting at his age. She'd known a few vampires who were his age or older but had never had the chance to actually speak with them about their past or what they knew of history. It would be positively fascinating to talk with someone who had lived through certain events and find out they're opinion on the matter.
As she quietly debated it in her head, she was able to snag a glass of champagne off of a tray when a waiter walked by. It would be her third of the night and that wasn't including the drink she'd had before she left the house. Usually she didn't drink quite this much but she still knew how to hold her alcohol and if she needed to she would cut herself off before getting to woozy.
"Well, what is your favorite period in history?"
Devan wasn't sure how to narrow it down and figured he could help a bit with that. Briefly, she wondered if he knew what she was but she figured he didn't know for sure or he would be asking more questions. A small smirk played on her lips as she wondered how she was going to go about avoiding that. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
